Starting 　harvest 　wheat～小麦の収穫開始！～

Hard Red Spring Wheat Harvest began for SB&B in August the final bushel was
harvested. The harvest went well with only minor weather related
interruptions. The crop yielded well and quality was good. The warm days
of August are pushing the soybeans and corn toward maturity and may create
an earlier than average harvest. The photos attached are showing the actual
harvesting of the grain and then the bales produced from the straw residue
left behind.

8月初めに小麦の収穫が始まりました。

収穫は、天候のせいで少しだけ中断されただけでとても順調進み、今は全て終わって
います。8月は暖かい日が続いたので、今は大豆とコーンが実り始めています。この分ですと例年より早めの収穫になるのではないかと思っています。

The soybean pods are filled, and plants will soon reach full maturity. It
won’t be long and the leaves will drop, and stems and beans will begin to
dry down. We expect an earlier than average harvest and anticipate a high
quality crop.

大豆の鞘はもう大分育ってきているのでもうすぐ完全に実ると思います。葉が落ちて茎や豆が乾き始めるまでにそんなに長い時間はかからないでしょう。
こちらでは、いつもよりも少し早めの収穫の始まりと今年も高品質な豆になってくれることを楽しみに待っているところです。
