As the holidays have passed, we reminisce on the festive celebrations and camaraderie amongst family, friends, employees and our loyal farmers.

皆さんこんにちは！

こちらノースダコタでは冬のお休みが終わりました。
今回は、休みの間に行われた生産者の皆とのお祝いのお祭りと職場の仲間やその家族や友達と過ごした楽しいひと時についてお伝えしたいと思います。

In the events of celebration we typically host a fun evening for our growers that includes a social time filled with wonderful food, beverages and treats along with a program discussing markets and hot topics followed with mixer games and door prizes.

お祝いのお祭りというのは、（１年間の作業を終えた）生産者の皆の為にこの時期に開催しているイベントです。美味しい食べ物や飲み物を沢山用意して、ゲームや当たりくじなどの余興を楽しみながら、仕事の事や今ホットな話題について話し合ったりして楽しい時間を過ごすのです。

We host one of these events for our Wisconsin area growers and another for our North Dakota area growers with an average of 80 to 100 guests at each event. All leave with a gift of one form or another, at the very least a festively wrapped bottle of wine, and a smile on their face. These events are a small way we make sure our growers understand our appreciation for them and the quality work they do with their crop production.

私達は、このイベントをウィスコンシンとノースダコタの2か所で、それぞれの地区の生産者の為に開催しています。毎回の出席者は平均して80人～100人というイベントです。参加した全員が何かしらのお土産をもらって帰れるのですが、必ず持って帰れるものは、綺麗に包装されたお土産用のワインと笑顔です。このイベントは、生産者の皆に、また彼らの良い作物を作る為の質の高い仕事に対して、私達の感謝の気持ちを伝える為の小さな活動なのです。

 

Another holiday event that is highly anticipated each year, is our Company staff party. We pull together all of the staff that work in our offices, the farm staff, the partners and all of their spouses and significant others to celebrate a year full of hard work. This year the event was at our local bowling alley where a little friendly competition on the bowling lanes took place. All indulged in a typical American casual meal of cheeseburgers and fries along with their favorite beverages. A surprise gift exchange game took place which generated a whole lot of laughter and everyone went home with a warm feeling, happy to be working with such a wonderful team.

休みの間に行われるもう一つの楽しみなイベントは、会社の社員パーティーです。こちらはオフィスで働く職場の仲間、農場勤務のスタッフ、それぞれのお奥さんや旦那さんなど沢山の人を集めて、その年１年間のハードワークを労うイベントです。
今年は地元のボーリング場で、和やかなボーリング対決をしながらこのイベントが行われました。ここでは皆、チーズバーガーやポテトフライとお気に入りの飲み物といった、気取らない典型的なアメリカの食べ物を楽しみました。今回は、サプライズプレゼントを交換するというゲームが行われ、これが皆を笑いの渦に巻き込んだので、誰もがこんな素晴らしチームと一緒に働くことが出来て良かったなという暖かい気持ちになって家路につくことができました。
